The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is a pan-African network of Centres of Excellence for post-graduate training in mathematical sciences, research, and public engagement in STEM. Established in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2003, AIMS transforms Africa through innovative scientific education and research. AIMS South Africa offers a one-year postgraduate course leading to a Structured Master’s in Mathematical Sciences, accredited by the Universities of Cape Town, Stellenbosch, and the Western Cape, and delivered in collaboration with faculty from the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, and Paris Sud XI.
