The French South African Institute of Technology (F’SATI) is a graduate school jointly developed by France and South Africa to advance knowledge and technology transfer in engineering and technology fields. Established in 1994 following a state visit by President Nelson Mandela, it operates as a national asset with a primary focus on Mathematics, fundamental Sciences, and Engineering Studies. F’SATI currently maintains two main nodes within South Africa: one at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Pretoria and another at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Cape Town.
