The Joseph Ki-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou is the oldest and largest public higher education institution in Burkina Faso, located in the capital city of Ouagadougou. Founded in 1974 and officially renamed in December 2015 to honor the renowned historian Joseph Ki-Zerbo, the university serves as the country's flagship institution for scientific, cultural, and technical education. The university operates with a main campus at 03 BP 7021, Ouagadougou, and maintains branch campuses in Bobo-Dioulasso and Koudougou.
