UCT SpaceLab is a multidisciplinary platform at the University of Cape Town (UCT) dedicated to promoting education and research in space science and technology. Housed within the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, it aims to develop novel space technologies and train graduate students to strengthen the South African and African skills base in space systems. The laboratory offers a research-based MPhil in Space Studies, covering scientific, engineering, policy, and commercial aspects of the space sector, and partners with various local and international initiatives.
