Geographic Institute of Burundi, is the national government agency responsible for geography, cartography, and hydrometeorology. Established on September 30, 1980, by decree no 100/146, it serves as the National Hydromet Service and the national focal point for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Burundi.
