South African Council for Space Affairs (SACSA)

The South African Council for Space Affairs (SACSA) is a statutory body established under the Space Affairs Act (Act No. 84 of 1993, as amended) to manage and regulate space affairs in South Africa. It advises the Minister of Trade and Industry on space-related matters, implements the national space policy, issues licenses, and ensures South Africa's compliance with international space treaties and agreements. SACSA is currently in the process of being reconstituted, following the expiration of its previous term in April 2023.
