MTN Group Limited is a South African multinational telecommunications company headquartered in Johannesburg. Founded in 1994, it is the largest mobile network operator in Africa and among the top ten globally by subscriber count. As of 2026, MTN serves over 288 million customers across 18 markets in Africa and the Middle East. MTN provides a wide range of services including voice, data, digital, fintech (via MTN MoMo), enterprise, and wholesale solutions. It has been actively pursuing its "Ambition 2025" strategy, focusing on digital inclusion, infrastructure development, and structural separation of its fibre business under Bayobab.
