Students for the Exploration and Development of Space - SEDS South Africa
Overview
SEDS South Africa is the national, independent student space society and the governing body for all SEDS branches within South Africa. Established as a non-profit in 2020, it unites students and young professionals across Southern Africa to promote space exploration through educational and engineering projects. The organization operates as a member of SEDS Earth (Global community founded in 1980), facilitating collaboration between local branches and the global SEDS community. Its founding branch is SEDS-SA-UCT (University of Cape Town), with other active branches including SEDS-SA-UP (University of Pretoria) and SEDS-SA-Wits (University of the Witwatersrand).
