West Rand Astronomy Club (WRAC)

The West Rand Astronomy Club (WRAC) is an amateur astronomy club based in the West Rand area of Gauteng, South Africa. The club meets monthly on the last Wednesday of each month at 19:00 in the Dutch Reformed Church offices on Corlette Avenue, Witpoortjie (except in December), and also holds viewing evenings near New Moon and weekend star parties. WRAC is known for its planet walk in Kloofendal Nature Reserve, designed in collaboration with the Roodepoort Rotary Club, and actively engages in public outreach and astrophotography for all levels of enthusiasts.
