Overview

The HYDROSAT mission is planned to be conducted by DJIBOUTI-1A and DJIBOUTI-1B. Djibouti-1A provides a dedicated platform for collecting and transmitting real-time data from remote meteorological and seismic stations across the country. It facilitates the monitoring of critical environmental factors such as rainfall, temperature, and river levels to support national water resource management. Its successful launch marks the nation’s entry into the space age, demonstrating the results of a joint capacity-building program that trained local engineers in satellite design and integration.
