Egerton University

Egerton University is a public university in Kenya and the oldest institution of higher learning in the country. It was founded in 1939 as Egerton Farm School by Lord Maurice Egerton of Tatton and was officially chartered as a university in 1987 through an Act of Parliament. The university is renowned for its strong focus on agriculture, science, and technology, though it has expanded into diverse academic fields including health sciences, law, commerce, and the humanities.
