Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) is a public university located in Juja, Kiambu County, Kenya, approximately 36 kilometers northeast of Nairobi along the Nairobi-Thika SuperHighway. Established in 1994, it evolved from Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT), which was founded in 1981 with support from the Japanese government. JKUAT is renowned for its focus on technology, engineering, agriculture, health sciences, and research innovation. It hosts the Pan African University's Institute of Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUISTI) and has multiple campuses, including its main campus in Juja, as well as satellite campuses in Nairobi (Karen, Westlands), Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisii, Kitale, Eldoret, and Kigali, Rwanda.
