Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is a public university located in Morogoro, Tanzania, established on July 1, 1984, by Parliamentary Act No. 6 of 1984. It is named after Edward Sokoine, Tanzania’s second Prime Minister. The university specializes in agriculture and allied sciences and operates under the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005 and its 2007 Charter. SUA is situated on the slopes of the Uluguru Mountains and has multiple campuses across Tanzania, including Edward Moringe and Solomon Mahlangu in Morogoro, Olmotonyi in Arusha, Mazumbai in Tanga, Mizengo Pinda in Katavi, and Tunduru in Ruvuma.
