Overview
The Centre for Space Research and Applications, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) was set up in December 2008 following FUTA Senate’s approval in October 2008. The objectives of the Centre are to: carry out research in the area of remote sensing technology and GIS for sustainable development, embark on internationally competitive research on space science and technology, make a meaningful contribution to the emergence of indigenous space technology etc.
