Overview
The Ghana Radio Astronomy Observatory (GRAO), located at Kuntunse near Accra, is a significant scientific facility and a source of national pride. It is centered around a 32-meter (105-foot) satellite dish that was successfully converted from a defunct telecommunications antenna into a powerful radio telescope. The facility was officially launched on August 24, 2017.
