Overview
The Rabat Astronomical Observatory is a scientific center dedicated to the study of astronomy and the popularization of space sciences. Located on a plateau at an altitude of 400 meters, near the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah dam, it benefits from ideal conditions for observing stars and celestial phenomena thanks to its clear sky. Founded in 1999, this observatory is one of the main astronomical centers in Morocco, alongside the Oukaïmeden Observatory. It is open to researchers and the general public, offering activities such as conferences, observation workshops with telescopes, and sky reading sessions.
