Overview

AIA is the leading non-profit organization in Côte d'Ivoire dedicated to the promotion of space sciences and the popularization of astronomy. It was officially founded on February 13, 2021. The launch took place at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Abidjan, specifically within the Faculty of Sciences, Structures of Matter, and Technology (UFR SSMT). Its missions are to introduce astronomy to schools and universities across Côte d'Ivoire, to combat scientific misinformation and to support the country's growing space ambitions, such as the development of its first nanosatellite.
