Overview
Mpoma is Uganda's central mission control and data acquisition hub, recently modernized to manage the nation's first sovereign satellites, including PearlAfricaSat-1. It serves as a multi-functional facility for satellite tracking, telecommunications, and geospatial data analysis, reducing Uganda's reliance on foreign ground segments. The station is the heartbeat of the Aeronautics and Space Science Bureau, bridging the gap between historical infrastructure and 21st-century space technology.
