Overview
The University of Nairobi Ground Station serves as the operational hub for university-led space missions, facilitating VHF/UHF communication with low-earth orbit (LEO) nanosatellites. Established to track 1KUNS-PF in 2018, it provides students and researchers with hands-on experience in satellite telemetry, command, and data decoding. The facility is a cornerstone of Kenya’s indigenous space capacity, bridging the gap between theoretical aerospace engineering and active orbital operations.
