About African Satellites

Africa's satellite population spans government communications satellites, Earth observation missions, commercial constellations, and a growing cohort of nanosatellites and CubeSats built by universities and emerging operators. The continent's satellites support weather forecasting, land-use mapping, maritime domain awareness, disaster response, and broadband connectivity — an infrastructure layer increasingly central to economic planning and development.
